Harvest Right Hose Insert – (SHIPS IN 1-3 WEEKS)

Older freeze dryers, with different fittings than what is shown in the image gallery, should purchase the hose insert. The insert will work with any year/model of freeze dryer purchased after January 1, 2015. Simply insert it into your current 3/4″ hose. With this upgrade, you only need to change your oil every 4-5 batches, depending on the quality of your oil. Instructions for insertion are included in the DETAILS section below (and in the image gallery). Freeze dryers shipped after December 1, 2019 (and all oil-free pump owners) should already have the new hose or hose insert.

To help prevent water and particulates from entering your vacuum pump, the hose insert fits inside your current 3/4″ hose. The insert will work with any year/model of freeze dryer purchased after January 1, 2015. With this upgrade, you only need to change your oil every 4-5 batches, depending on the quality of your oil. Freeze dryers shipped after December 1, 2019 (and all oil-free pump owners) should already have the new hose or hose insert. The hose insert will fit inside your current 3/4″ hose. To do this, take the hose insert and coat one end (approx. 4”) with vegetable or mineral oil. Then simply insert the oil-coated end into the 3/4″ hose until it is housed completely within the larger hose.
